Social Media ROI: Is it Measurable?
Presented by the Sacramento Chapter of the Social Media Club
Tuesday May 17th, at The Urban Hive
Social media can be a powerful tool for communicating with your customers and reaching new prospects. A survey by Mashable found that 84 percent of social media programs don’t measure return on investment (ROI). It also found that many individuals and businesses are unsure how to measure the ROI of their social media strategies and campaigns.
Presented by the Sacramento Chapter of the Social Media Club, a panel of social media experts, featuring Rick Bakas of Bakas Media and moderated by Gordon Fowler, President and CEO of 3Fold Communications, will discuss why new media may call for new methods of measurement, including:
- Best practices in social media measurement
- How to calculate ROI with social media campaigns
- When social media should be a part of a comprehensive communication strategy
Panelists:
Agenda:
6:30 - 7:00 Check in, Socializing, Noshing
7:00 - 8:30 Presentation, Q&A (Ustream begins)
8:30 - 9:00 Afterparty (optional)
This event is free*, but we encourage your $5-10 at-the-door donation to help us keep producing great social media events!
This event will stream live on Ustream at www.ustream.tv/user/smc-sac starting at 7 p.m.
Follow the event on Twitter using the hashtag #SMCSAC
*Since our first event in April of 2009, Sacramento Social Media Club has provided the community with FREE panels and workshops. We've brought cutting edge topics, knowledgeable speakers, and great food and drinks. We've been able to do all this for free thanks to generous sponsors and individuals. But, as we grow, we need your help. At this event, we're encouraging a $5-10 donation at the door to help us the cover costs of producing these events.
